| sfxr | sxfr is a sound effect generator (synth) that makes simple sound effects extremely quickly. You are provided with an array of preset sound types that you can just click until you hear what you like. Then you can do some tweaking or create your own sound yourself by adjusting the attributes of the waveform. I made a few little adjustments to the program to make it a little bit easier to use. If you're looking for simple sound effects to fill in the gaps in your project or you just need placeholders until you find a composer, then this is your app! Lasers, jumping sounds, explosions, coins, and more are just a click away. It even has a Mutate button that changes your sound slightly, so that you can have a set of similar, yet different, sounds for your game. In fact, this app was made specifically for the Ludum Dare 48-hour competitions, if that gives you an idea of its usefulness. | Exports .wav files 22050 or 44100 bit rates 8 or 16 bit samples Mutate button | DrPetter | [Google Code Downloads] |
| Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Main Theme Lyrics and Singing Guide | - | I
just wrote this up today (7/13). The main theme of SSBB is pretty
corny at first, but if you have some Latin background, you quickly gain
an appreciation for a music style that nobody ever hears (Agnus Dei,
Kyrie Eleison, and other church beats have nothing on this). I'm
no music expert, so I just drew some note holds and interesting
pronunciation. The singers aren't perfect, but they sound good!
I underlined letters that aren't in the actual word, but indicate
the way it is sung. Just a little knowledge of Latin will get you
through. Just remember that 'v' is pronounced like 'w', 'c' is
(nearly) always hard, 'e' is a long 'A', and ideally, no letter is
silent. Sprendor crescit! |
